Old Greenwood at Tahoe Mountain Club
12915 Fairway Drive, Truckee, CA 96161
(530) 550-7024
August 9th, 2026
Shotgun start at 9:30am.
This is our Second Club Major Tournament of the year — the biggest event on the Par Royal IV calendar since our first major, and the one you'll want on your scorecard. We're playing it at Old Greenwood, the Jack Nicklaus Signature course set across 600 acres of towering Sierra pine outside Truckee. At 7,518 yards and par 72, it's a championship test in every sense: deep pot bunkers, water in play on several holes, big elevation changes, and huge greens, all framed by views toward Northstar and the Truckee River. It's been named among the Golfers' Choice Top 50 courses in the U.S., and in early August it plays firm, fast, and glorious. A 9:30am shotgun means the whole field tees off together and finishes together — exactly the way a major should be played. Majors are where the season gets decided, so make sure your name is in the field.
Make it a Tahoe golf weekend! Old Greenwood on Sunday is the second half of a back-to-back Truckee weekend — the day before, Saturday August 8, we play Gray's Crossing at Tahoe Mountain Club. Play both courses and make a full weekend of it, or play just this one — it's entirely your choice, and there is absolutely no obligation to play both. They are two separate events with two separate registrations, so sign up for whichever suits you. Availability at both events is limited, so please get your registration in early.

Gray's Crossing at Tahoe Mountain Club
11406 Henness Road, Truckee, CA 96160
(530) 550-5800
August 8th, 2026
Tee times starting from 10:00am.
High in a Sierra mountain meadow in the shadow of Mt. Rose, Gray's Crossing stretches 7,488 yards of Peter Jacobsen championship golf through pine-lined fairways, native high-desert grasses, and some of the most dramatic elevation changes you'll play all year. Thin mountain air means your ball flies — those downhill par 3s can play up to three clubs shorter — and early August in Truckee is about as good as golf weather gets: warm, dry, and blue-sky clear. A 10:00am start gives everyone a civilized morning to make the drive up. If you've never played Tahoe golf with the Par Royal IV group, this is the one to start with.
